Kids and families of all ages can enjoy and explore the vehicles they’ve seen in the movies, books, and just driving around town — from fire trucks and ambulances to backhoes and bulldozers, Touch-A-Truck has them all! What is Touch-A-Truck?
Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event that provides an opportunity for kids of all ages to come to Camp Mabry and explore the vehicles they’ve seen in movies, books, and just driving around town. From fire trucks and ambulances to backhoes and bulldozers, Touch-A-Truck has them all! This year’s event will also feature food trucks and a Kid Zone complete with face painting, barrel train rides, and more. Check out the photos from last year’s event!
How Much Are Tickets?
The generosity of community volunteers allows the Touch-a-Truck event to keep the low ticket price of $5 per person for children 17 and under and $10 for adults 18 and over, no ticket necessary for 1 and under. Limited quantities of VIP Admission tickets are $25 per person which includes VIP parking and early entrance to the event at 9:00 AM for those eager to be the first to honk the horns. General admission begins at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Do you have a kid with a birthday coming up and looking for a fun way to celebrate? Touch-a-Truck has the perfect treat for you! For $250, their Birthday Bundle includes admission for 10 children and two adults, a private tent, a personalized birthday banner, and much more.
What to Wear and Bring?
Touch-A-Truck pros recommend and encourage sunscreen, hats, and closed-toe shoes for all attendees. The trucks can be very loud! If noise is an issue, bring hearing protection and ear plugs for the family.
Parking and Traffic
Expect traffic delays in the morning. Consider keeping snacks and water in your vehicle just in case! Traffic entering Camp Mabry generally slows down after 12 p.m.
