    The Youth Fishing Clinic and Derby is open to children six years and older or entering 1st Grade. Your children will be learning how to tie hooks and lures to a line, creating a hook rig, learn types of fish and bait that fish prefer, properly cast their line, know the rules of being safe while fishing, and more activities related to fishing and the outdoors. Make sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, bug spray, close-toed shoes or boots, a camera, fishing gear (as needed), drinks and snacks!

    Each year on the first Saturday of June, the city of Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department partners with the KIDFISH Foundation, to offer an outdoor fishing opportunity for the children in Pflugerville. Trophies are awarded to the winners of each group and to the top fundraisers to KIDFISH Foundation. For children ages 16 and younger, KIDFISH and Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock hundreds of pounds of a variety of fish in Lake Pflugerville days before the event to boost the fishing experience!

    The Republic of Texas Biker Rally, otherwise known as ROT Rally, is the largest motorcycle rally in Texas and the fourth largest motorcycle rally in the US. Held every year on the weekend after Memorial Day, hundreds of bikers gather at the Travis County Expo Center and ride along the hilly roads of Austin for an entire weekend. On the Friday of that weekend, the City of Austin closes off parts of Congress Ave. for the largest biker party in a downtown area. In 2006, ROT Rally was awarded a Guinness World Record for being the “Longest Parade of Motorcycles Known to Mankind.”
