Realty Austin Dedicates Third Home with Austin Habitat for Humanity

Realty Austin Builds Hope with 3rd Annual Habitat for Humanity Home with New Family

AUSTIN, TX–Realty Austin and Austin Habitat for Humanity dedicated a new home for the Saied Beriji family on Saturday, January 31, 2015. As part of the company’s mission of giving back, Realty Austin and its team of agents, clients and industry partners donated over $78,000 to sponsor and build the home. More than 180 Realty Austin agents and staff volunteered to help the cause, either by building, raising funds, or donating a portion of their commissions. Two Realty Austin agents, Aaron Nann and Cristina Valdes, went above and beyond by leading the team’s efforts. Nann donated over $2,750 from his real estate transactions and volunteered to build on two separate days, earning him the company’s Humanitarian Award. Valdes raised over $975 in donations from friends and family by promoting Habitat’s new personal fundraising pages.

Yvette Boatwright, co-owner of Realty Austin said, “Our agents are the true heroes who gave of their time and contributions and made this dream a reality for the Beriji family. Saied and his family are happy beyond words to have a place to call home. Kelly Weiss, President and CEO of Austin Habitat for Humanity said, “I applaud Jonathan and Yvette for creating a company culture of giving back at Realty Austin. They demonstrate the best qualities of community leadership. This year’s recipient, the Beriji family, is a hard working family from Iran looking to provide a better future for their four children. We are so grateful to Realty Austin for giving the Beriji’s this opportunity.” This is the 3rd house that Realty Austin has built for Austin Habitat for Humanity.
