AUSTIN, TXRealty Austin, the #1 independent real estate brokerage in Austin, is proud to announce Yvette Boatwright, Jéan Bruns, and Debbie Barrera were honored at the Austin Board of REALTORS® Industry Awards celebration on January 25th at Hotel Van Zandt. These prestigious awards honor ABoR members who have made outstanding contributions to the Central Texas real estate industry and their community.

Founder and Chief Culture Officer, Yvette Boatwright, was awarded Broker of the Year for her problem-solving mindset and Code of Ethics as she exemplifies integrity in her everyday business and management within Realty Austin. Yvette inspires her team to be caring, compassionate and giving as she leads the brokerage to give back to the community.

Yvette continues to raise the bar in the real estate industry on a national level, as she was recently named to Swanepoel Power 200’s list of Top Women Leaders in Real Estate for her decision-making power and influence.

She contributed her award to 3 women who inspired her life – Cynthia Golrick, Jean Grubb, and Emily Moreland, all of whom were present at the awards ceremony.

With his passion and dedication to give back to the Austin community, it comes as no surprise Jéan Bruns received the Community Service Award. This award is based on an evaluation of the nominee’s outstanding dedication to public service in his or her community.

Jéan gives his whole heart to organizations who support programs that serve the rare, undiagnosed, terminally ill pediatric community, such as The Abigail E. Keller Foundation. The Abigail E. Keller Foundation supports medically complex and special needs children and their families by promoting awareness and programs that will assist them in various ways to improve their quality of life. The fund helps clinics, schools, and organizations that often work with tight budgets and competing demand for dollars, by providing funds for items that may not otherwise be provided for in the budget.

In addition to The Abigail E. Keller Foundation, Jean actively supports Foundation Communities, The Flatwater Foundation, Make-A-Wish, and The Equality Alliance.

Debbie Barrera was honored at the awards ceremony with The National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) Certificate of Appreciation for her continued work advocating on behalf of the rights of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community. NAGLREP members raise awareness through education and events to encourage existing efforts amongst the civil rights community, local and state Realtor Associations, and the National Association of Realtors to support fair housing for the LGBT community.
