AUSTIN, TX – Realty Austin is proud to announce agent Lisa Muñoz earned the top spot in Austin on the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) fourth annual report of the nation’s Top 250 Latino real estate agents.

Muñoz was noted as number 56 of top agents in the country for achieving 93 transactions in 2014. NAHREP is the nation’s largest trade association for Hispanic real estate professionals comprised of 21,000 members in 40 chapters around the United States.

Muñoz said, “I am proud to be part of an association that provides meaningful solutions toward homeownership for the Hispanic community. My commitment is to continue to improve accessibility in the Austin marketplace. It is a unique time in Austin, and I am proud to represent Austin real estate professionals, Realty Austin, and the latino community with this award.”

Yvette Boatwright, co-owner of Realty Austin said, “As a Latino-owned real estate firm, Realty Austin is extremely proud that Lisa’s hard work is represented on NAHREP’s national Top 250 list. Since 2010, Lisa has been an integral part of Realty Austin, and as a leader of our industry I believe her example will greatly benefit real estate professionals throughout Texas.”

Teresa Palacios Smith, 2015 NAHREP president said, “While the media continues to report about the dip in homeownership rates and the challenges that new homebuyers are facing with today’s tight credit market, we are proud to acknowledge these hardworking individuals who are making the American dream a reality for thousands of families in hundreds of communities. These agents are the engine that is driving Latino homeownership in a sustainable way.”

In 2013 five Realty Austin agents were named to the Top 25 Elite Latinos in Austin by NAHREP: Romeo Manzanilla, Israel Gutierrez, Cristina Valdes, Rene Ruiz, and Lisa Muñoz. Agents were recognized for their leadership, contributions to their communities, and local business involvement.

Jennifer Korba, Realty Austin Market Manager of the Central-East office said, “Lisa is a very hard and smart-working agent. She and her team work tirelessly to make each client’s experience a positive one. They are a well-oiled machine that works in harmony together moving in the same direction– it is a beautiful thing.”

This year marks the second time Lisa Munoz was named no. 1 amongst Austin REALTORS® on NAHREP’s Top 250 list.
