Only certain fireworks are legal within the city of Austin without a permit, so make sure you double check your facts here. However, Travis County is not under a burn ban and you are able to see all the counties in Texas with or without established burn bans here. It is important to know that you can’t buy fireworks within city limits but can find firework stands in Dripping Springs, Cedar Park, Bastrop, etc.

If you like listening to music and dancin’ the night away, we found two great concerts we recommend you buy tickets to see. Willie Nelson returns home to Austin, Texas for a 4th of July Picnic at Circuit of The Americas. Over 20 artists will perform on two stages and picnic tables will be provided where fans can eat, drink and celebrate. Bob Schneider is performing at the Nutty Brown Cafe with a fireworks show, plus food and drinks will be available for purchase. Grab your best dancing shoes or bring a folding chair to relax in while enjoying great music.

The Lake Austin – 360 Bridge Overlook provides the best views in Austin to watch July 4th fireworks. Climb up the cliff on the north side of the Pennybacker Bridge and bring a comfy blanket to sit on once you get to the top. The cliff offers great views of the firework show from Downtown Austin and the surrounding neighborhoods by the 360 Bridge.
