Living in Austin definitely has its perks, but owning and selling in Austin is proving to be the winner. This past month the Austin Board of Realtors® reviewed data from the Mutiple Listing Service (MLS) which showed that home sales increased and properties spent less time on the market than last month. The continuous upswing in home sales is attributed to Austin’s steady job growth rate says ABoR Chairman John Horton. In an interview with Austin Business Jornal, John Horton said, “it appears we’re beginning to see an impact from this steady improvement, particularly in increases in pending sales and new listings, as well as a decrease in the length of time homes are staying on the market, all of which are indicators of future demand." That’s good news to local workers, and great news to Austin homeowners.
