The facility hosts over 71,000 visitors annually through its diverse programming and a wide variety of activities. The NHL-regulation rink, with 17,000 square feet of ice in total, is the only publicly accessible rink of its kind in the city. Chaparral Ice is the perfect gathering place for communities of figure skaters, hockey fans, kids’ camps and curious Texans looking to learn how to ice skate!

Eisbahn has become an integral part of the Christmas season in Fredericksburg and the Hill Country. A must-do for locals and visitors alike, Ice Skating on the Plaza at Whole Foods Flagship store on Lamar has become one of Austin’s most anticipated events of the holiday season! The ice rink is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, beginning November 23rd through January 21st. The cost is $10 per person and includes skate rental. Every Friday throughout the ice rink season, the skating soundtrack is curated by KUTX for the KUTX Music Fridays series, so don’t miss out!

Informal pickup games that happen on frozen ponds or backyard rinks can last for hours, and The Pond Hockey Club was created to recapture some of that magic and winter fun all year long in Austin! The Pond Hockey Club is an ice rink and hockey training facility serving the hockey community in Austin and Central Texas. They have a full sheet of ice known as “The Barn” and a 3/4 sheet of ice known as “The Pond” when hockey players can play hockey or where family members can enjoy a day of ice skating.
