Help Amplify Austin Raise $4M for Local Charities in 2nd Annual I Live Here I Give Here Campaign on March 20, 2014.
UPDATE (3/22/2014): Amplify Austin’s 2nd annual online “festival of giving” raised over $5.7M in 24 hours benefiting 496 local nonprofits.
For the second year, Amplify Austin will host “I Live Here, I Give Here”, a charity marathon that lasts 24 hours where Austinites have the chance to give back to the city they love! The “festival of giving” is a fast, fun and easy way for anyone, even people outside of Austin, to help almost 400 nonprofits in the area with critical needs.
The idea for the giving day was inspired by cities throughout the country that have had success in raising money for nonprofit organizations in the same manner. Those cities include Minnesota, Seattle, Portland and areas of Colorado and North Texas.
Donors can visit the AmplifyAustin website on the giving day or can schedule their donation today! When on the site, a donor can search through all nonprofits in the Austin area to select who they will give to. We can’t wait to give back to our favorite nonprofits who work so hard to make our city the best city ever!
The fundraising will begin March 20th, 2014 at 6 p.m. and will last 24 hours.
In 2013, Austin raised $2.8 million for 320 nonprofits! Well over the $1 million goal that was set for the year. This year the goal is set at $4million – let’s see what you can do Austin, TX!
