Realty Austin Builds Community One Home at a Time

Austin’s Top Workplace Dedicates 5th Habitat for Humanity Home to Deserving Family

AUSTIN, TX — Realty Austin dedicated its 5th Annual Realty Austin Habitat for Humanity home to a deserving family on November 19, 2016. Over 200 volunteers from the company worked alongside the future homeowners for 10 weeks to build a new home.

As part of the company’s mission of giving back, Realty Austin and its team of agents, clients and industry partners raised over $90,971 to sponsor and build the home. The company’s Top Contributor Jason Taylor and Top Fundraiser Todd Bailey were recognized for their efforts in building and raising awareness of its mission.

The new homeowner Youseff Moujani said, “Thank you to Realty Austin for making this Habitat home possible. Without you, we would never be able to make it into a home. You are soldiers, hiding, and making all these changes in the community, and putting happiness in the hearts of the needy people. We are forever grateful and appreciate your generosity.”

The Moujanis came to the United States in 2001 from South Morocco, and their no. 1 goal with the Habitat program is to save up enough money for their children’s education.

Realty Austin is grateful to industry partners Max Leaman Team, Stewart Title, Independence Title, and Josh Jordan of Colonial Mortgage for supporting its mission with substantial contributions to Austin Habitat. Also joining them in this community build was Martin Ochs, Supreme Lending; Tony Ruff, Movement Mortgage; Ashley Matthews, Amerifirst Financial; Justin Boyd, SWBC; Harper Ray, Cornerstone Mortgage; Capstone Title; Ryan Leahy, Leahy Lending; and Patten Law.

Since 2012, Realty Austin has partnered with Austin Habitat for Humanity to build homes for deserving families. To date, the company’s agents and staff have given more than $290,000 and volunteered over 6,000 hours to improve the lives of Austin families.

Realty Austin began construction on the home located at 2519 Magin Meadow, Austin, TX 78744 on September 7, 2016, and completed construction on November 16, 2017.
