Help Amplify Austin Raise $7M for Local Non-profits in 3rd Annual ‘I Live Here I Give Here’ Campaign on March 5, 2015.
For the third year in a row, Amplify Austin will host ‘I Live Here, I Give Here,’ a charity marathon that lasts 24 hours where Austinites have the chance to give back to the city they love and improve the quality of life of well-deserving Austinites. The “festival of giving” is a fast, fun and easy way for anyone, even people outside of Austin, to help almost 400 nonprofits in the area with critical needs. Tens of thousands of donors are expected to participate this year and includes a $1 million match fund from St. David’s Community Foundation.
The idea for the giving day was inspired by cities throughout the country that have had success in raising money for nonprofit organizations in the same fun and impactful manner. Those cities include Minnesota, Seattle, Portland and areas of Colorado and North Texas.
Donors can visit the Amplify Austin website on giving day or schedule their donation today. When on the site, a donor can search through all nonprofits in the Austin area to select who they will give to. Amplify Austin makes it easy to give back to your favorite nonprofits who work so hard to make our city the best city ever.
Fundraising begins March 5, 2015 at 6 p.m. and will last 24 hours.
In 2014, Amplify Austin surpassed their goal by 45% and raised $5.7 million for 496 nonprofits doubling 2013’s donataions. This year the goal is set at $7 million. Schedule your gift today or mark your calendars for March 5 at 6 PM and fundraise for your passion to amplify your cause!
