Looking for something new and exciting to do this weekend in Austin? MotoGP™ makes its Lone Star State debut at the Circuit of the Americas. The new 1000-acre facility in Austin, Texas is home to this year’s 2013 Red Bull’s Grand Prix of the Americas.
The World Championship event MotoGP™ makes its Lone Star State debut for the three-day event filled with sports and entertainment on April 19-21, 2013. The event will feature MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 races. Gates open at 8:30AM on Friday, April 19. Fans can meet riders for an autograph session at 4:30PM and enjoy a pit lane and track walk.
Following Round One of MotoGP™ in Qatar, U.S. race fans can get close to the action of Round Two of the eighteen-race series this weekend in Austin, Texas. The world’s most skilled international riders will face-off on motorcycles by three manufacturers; Ducati, Yamaha, and Honda. Riders compete in the world championship series sponsored by Red Bull’s Grand Prix of the Americas on Saturday, April 20, and race finals on Sunday, April 21.
Two Texans Colin Edwards and Ben Spies, who are joined by fellow American Nicky Hayden of Kentucky, are the U.S. favorites to watch this weekend when MotoGP™ makes its Lone Star State debut at the Circuit of the Americas.
Tickets can still be purchased at the Grand Plaza Box Office at Circuit of the Americas beginning at 7:30AM, April 19 through April 21. 3 day passes start at $89 and a single race day ticket is $59 for Sunday. Kids under 12 are free with an accompanied ticketed adult. College students and military are $49 at the gate with valid ID. Offer is good for active military and veterans.
