Austin Is the Best Performing City in US

They should probably just make a “Top City for Lists” list and put Austin at the top of that one too because Austin has just topped another! The Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metro area has been named the Best Performing Large City of 2013 by The Milken Institute. We have moved up to 1st place from the runner-up spot last year!

The ten-city list of best performing cities was derived from factors such as job creation and sustainability, employment and wage structure. Also, many of the top cities including Austin, have massive knowledge and improvement in technology and energy. The report stated that officials boast about Austin’s “business-friendly, low-tax, low-regulation climate.” Two other Texas cities made the Top 10, while four more were ranked in the Top 25.
