Austin, TX – Farmer’s markets occur year-round in the Austin area, offering the freshest fruits, delectable homemade eats, artisan wares, and crafts. Most Farmers Markets in Austin are bustling with entertainment such as live music and activities for kids. Many Austin Farmers Markets also allow dogs to join and include pet-friendly vendors. Unlike going to a grocery store, Austin Farmers Market trips can be fun for everyone in the family!

Saturdays from 9am to 1pm

The Barton Creek Farmers Market is Austin’s first farmers market, dating back to 1987. You can still find this nationally ranked farmers market in the parking lot of Barton Creek Square mall every Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm. The Barton Creek Farmers is proud to bring the heart of Texas growers and manufacturers to locals and visitors. You’ll find goods such as organic produce, local artesian items, prepared organic food, and fresh produce.

1302 Chesnut Street, Bastrop, TX 78602

The Bastrop 1832 Farmers Market is a project of Bastrop Sustainable Agricultural Community (BSAC), a non-profit 501c3 corporation. Their mission is to create and sustain a market space for small family farmers, ranchers, producers, and artisans, including those who are economically disadvantaged, to sell and promote their products in a family-oriented environment. The enthusiastic and friendly group of vendors give this local market a sense of community. Their market features locally grown vegetables, fruits, farm eggs, meats, honey, prepared foods, plus handcrafted artisan goods!

September-July: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday from 8am to 1pm

August: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm

Since planting its first big garden in 1982, Boggy Creek Farm has experimented with various approaches to growing nutritious, fresh vegetables. You can be sure that you are receiving that freshest food with produces harvested within 24 hours of hitting the stands. Check out their full list of market goods on their website.

The Downtown Buda Farmers Market was created with a vision to provide community members with the freshest, highest quality, and most nutritious goods all grown and crafted locally. Farmers, producers, and artisans gather to sell fresh local goods, promote sustainability, and support healthy living. Market shoppers will find fresh produce, meat, eggs, bread, kombucha, handmade soaps, baked goods, homemade candy and fudge, honey, gluten-free products, plants, crafts, ready to eat food, olive oil, pet products, and more. Dance around to the echos of live music from local musicians while supporting local vendors.

The City of Dripping Springs is an advocate for creating a sustainable economy through local agriculture and building an educational connection between residents and local agricultural producers through the Dripping Springs Farmers Market. Shoppers learn from vendors the uses and benefits of quality, locally grown or prepared food products, and have access to local services and hand-made crafts as provided. Indulge in fresh foods, live music and more!

Eden East Farm is a sustainable urban farm. Previously located just a few miles from downtown Austin, the farm has recently located further east, to Bastrop.  They offer seasonal vegetables and other goods such as local produce, eggs, jam, dried and canned goods, local meats, and medicinal and culinary herbs.  They proudly serve many local restaurants, and their restaurant partners are an important aspect of their growing business.

Veterans’ Memorial Park, Elgin, TX 78621

The Elgin Farmers’ Market is open for business every Thursday from 5 – 8 pm. Shop for locally grown fresh vegetables, fruits, pecans, meats, eggs, honey, plants, flowers, herbs, bread, bakery goodies, gourds, gifts, candy, jewelry, handmade crafts & gifts, and more! You can even pre-order directly with vendors and arrange a market pick up or delivery. As an added bonus for the Yogis out there, you can enjoy Yoga at the Market every second Thursday of the month.

Round Rock Farmers Market: Saturdays from 10am to 2pm

Gateway Farmers Market: Sundays from 1pm to 5pm

Farmers Market Association’s mission is to be a resource for locally-grown, responsibly-raised food, and products. Their vendors take pride in bring high-quality foods and products to Texas! The Farmers Market Association has three different locations running year-round; two in Georgetown and one in Round Rock.

Green Gate Farms, a USDA certified organic farm, was established by Skip Connett and Erin Flynn in an underserved neighborhood in east Austin in 2006. Working off-farm jobs to fund their efforts, they restored a historic farm site to create a community resource for neighbors of all incomes. Green Gate Farms vision is to cultivate an organic farm that feeds the mind, body, and soul.

HOPE Farmers Market has lined the street with vendors every Sunday afternoon since 2009. The iconic market embodies the essence of the Austin culture including food, crafts, music, art, and community exchange. Locals can find a little bit of everything, including farm-fresh produce, meat and dairy, tasty brunch, hot and cold drinks, handmade gifts, and more.

Kyle Historic City Square

Kyle Market Days is where live music and local vendors meet fun! Join the City of Kyle at Kyle Historic City Square to find that perfect homemade item and enjoy their free, live band. Need something special for a birthday or anniversary? From plants, crafts, to some of the best homemade foods, you’re sure to find something you love. Bee Cave – Hill Country Galleria: Sundays from 10 am to 2pm

Stroll through the Lone Star Farmers Market and enjoy 40+ booths overflowing with Austin’s finest LOCAL produce and locally inspired artisan foods. Located in the heart of the Hill Country Galleria, you can spend the day shopping for fresh produce and exploring local boutiques!

Tuesdays from 3pm to 7pm (March through October)

901 Old Austin-Hutto Road, Pflugerville, Texas 78660

The Pfarmers Market brings fresh, locally grown, and prepared foods to the Pflugerville community. Shoppers will find fresh produce and goods including tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, squash, okra, garlic, melons, peaches, and grapes; artisan baked goods; honey; flowers; eggs; free-range meats; jarred salsas, pickles, and jams; fruits and plants. Craft items are often available for purchase, and live music is on-site on selected dates!

This downtown Austin farmers market started in 2003 and is the queen bee of the SFC Farmers’ Market system. Featuring dozens of farmers and award-winning food artisans, this market is a must-see for newcomers and regulars. Situated in the picturesque Republic Square and on the new cosmopolitan Federal Courthouse Plaza, there is a café under the Auction Oak, live music, and plenty of room to picnic!

The SFC Farmers’ Markets are a project of the Sustainable Food Center. Both SFC Farmers’ Markets are producer-only, which means that farmers may only sell what they grow, and other vendors can only sell products that they themselves produce. This is their assurance to their customers that they are supporting local farmers and are purchasing the best food for themselves and their families!

11200 Lakeline Mall Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613

The Texas Farmers Market at Lakeline is a fun event hosted every Saturday. You’ll marvel over the fresh vegetables and artisan foods from local vendors and farmers. They even offer free community composting. It is a festival of food and tons of fun! Bring a friend, your dog, or the whole family to enjoy this lively market!

4550 Mueller Blvd, Austin, TX 78723

Voted Austin’s favorite farmers’ market via Austin Chronicle for the past five years and counting, the Texas Farmers Market at Mueller is a family and local favorite spot to shop, eat and enjoy fresh vegetables and artisan foods from local vendors and farmers. They even offer free community composting on Sundays and kids events at every market. Visitors often enjoy their market finds with a picnic by the pond and may even have a few ducks join in on the fun!

14050 RR 12, Wimberley, Texas 78676

The Wimberley Farmers Market is open every Wednesday from 3 to 6 PM. You’ll find it in the parking lot in front of the Wimberley Community Thrift Shop. This market is the one closest for most Wimberley residents who prefer to eat fresh seasonal produce and buy locally. Although the number of vendors is usually less than your average farmers market, the quality of the products is always high. Along with fresh produce, you’ll usually find delicious baked goods, candles, and handmade crafts!

The Wolf Ranch Farmers Market was established in Williamson County, Texas to provide a market for our local farmers and food producers and held on Saturday mornings. You can find a range of fresh produce from Melons, cucumbers, squash, sweet potatoes, okra, black-eyed peas, kale, tomatoes, winter squash. During this time of year, the lineup of produce can change almost weekly as the season is transition. Shop every week to see how the seasons change in Central Texas!
