London-based consulting firm reveals study ranking Austin the best city for tech in the world.
It’s no surprise that Austin has the best environment for a thriving technology industry, according to a report by Savills Plc., a property-consulting firm in London. Based on a recent study conducted by Savills, Austin finally surpassed San Francisco, one of the most established tech cities in the world. Of the 12 cities surveyed, Austin out-performed every other city based on key metrics such as business environment, quality of life and property prices.

In a populated city full of aspiring students, young professionals and experienced tech industry leaders, Austin is reported to be home to the youngest pool of talent paired with a high quality of life and low affordability.

In another study, Nerdwallet, a major provider of personal finance education, ranked Austin 8th for top tech city, and 7th as best city for young entrepreneurs.
