Read time: 2 minutes

Austin is a bike friendly city. Whether you’ve been carving up trails for decades or the last bike you rode was your childhood Huffy, there’s an Austin bike trail for you. Despite that, it can be a little tough to get your hands on a definitive guide to the best bike trails in Austin. People must be spending so much time riding that they don’t have enough left over to blog.

Luckily, Realty Austin has your back (or, in this case, has your bike trail guide). If you’re looking for Austin mountain biking, off road biking, or nice, easy trail riding, you’ll find something your speed on our definitive guide to Austin bike trails. If you’re looking for something to ride right now, allow us to suggest the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail.

There are six more spots to check out with our comprehensive guide to biking trails in Austin. If you aren’t sure if you would rather walk or bike, check out our Hike and Bike trail guide instead. Happy trails!

The Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail

If you’re new to Austin, you’ve probably heard someone say they hiked or biked “the greenbelt” and thought it sounded pretty beautiful, only to look up Austin greenbelt and discover that every park in this city is called a greenbelt.

Allow us to help you out. Your non-specific friend was probably referring to the Barton Creek Greenbelt, a beloved (and massive) Austin fixture that follows Barton Creek south of Zilker Park. We could tell you about the lush spring greenery and the Central Texas wildlife, or you could just hop on your bike and check it out. We think you’ll prefer the latter.
